CDTV's Most Wanted Lover rankings for the second half of the year are in.

On the male side: Jaejoong has managed to move all the way out of 10th plce to shove Yamapi out of the 3rd place spot. Which, is pretty amazing. Which goes to show you how popular DBSK is getting in Japan. Jaejoong is also the only Korean on the list this year. I'm a little suprised at the results. Back in February 4/6 NEWS members made it on the list, but today there's only Yamapi. Which is odd, seeing how popular Koi no ABO was and Tegomass's new single. I miss my Ryo-chan from the list. I also think this is Nino's first time in the list which is good for him. Other than that the list has pretty much stayed the same. No one can ever knock Akame out of the top spots.

On the female side: I'm pretty happy that YUI reclaimed her top spot on the list. It's amazing that she beat Ayumi. Ayumi only made it to the 6th spot this year. I was really expecting more H!P acts, since a few month ago 4 memebers made it on the list. This year only Reina and Ai made it on the list, and their rank is exactly the same. I'm also really happy to see Otsuka Ai move from 13th place to 4th. I was a little sad she ranked so low in Februrary. I'm not even sure who the remaining females are. XD

H!P 2009 Poll

Hello!Blog has released yet another poll. But this time it's the 2009 H!P Poll. Or as I like to call it H!P Perfect 10. You can see my results above.

Now this poll was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Easily harder than Hello!Blog's group ranking I tried to place each member in order of how much I've been paying attention to them lately and who is already my favorite members. But there are so many members I like I ended up having to cut a few off. Which wasn't an easy task. I actually feel really bad about the members I had to cut. XD

Here's a little expliantion of who I picked and why.

1. Kusumi Koharu: I think it's pretty obvious that Koha was going to be number 1. I've loved Koharu ever since I first saw her. She's the main reason I love Momusu as much as I do.
2. Arihara Kanna: I need to show my love for Kanna! She is definitely my favorite C-ute member. I never even cared about the kids before Kanna. She has one of the best and underrated voices in C-ute.
3. Konno Asami: When I started listen to older Momus I was always intrigued by Kon Kon. I went out of my way to find songs and shows that featured her. I guess I liked her because she was flawed. Insanely cute but not necessarily the best singer.
4. Mitsui Aika: I've always had a certain attachment to Mittsi, since I started to really follow Morning Musume on her debut song. I always supported and followed Aika closely for that reason.
5. LinLin: LinLin has really come out of nowhere to be one of my favorites in Morning Musume. Her overall energy and enthusiasm during concerts and shows really drew me to her.
6. Kumai Yurina: The main reason I care about Berryz. And another underrated member. I heard her in Tsukiatteru no ni Kataomoi and that was it, I was sold.
7. Tsugunaga Momoko: I started liking and noticing Momo because of Buono. And it helps that she's adorable with an anime like voice.
8. Michishige Sayumi: I totally expected Sayu to be much higher on my list. When I first got into Momsu she was my 2nd favorite member. I still really love Sayumi, but there's just H!P members I've grown to love a little bit more.
9. Fukuda Kanon: I started listening to Shugo Chara Egg for Yuuka, but ended up liking Kanon way more. Her voice is adorable and she's like mini Aibon.
10. Tsuji Nozomi: Nono will always be one of my favorites because she was the other half of W. So I've grown to like her. But honestly if Aibon was there I'm not sure if Nono would even make the list.

Now a lot of these rankings are shocking. And they've added some young people to the mix. Kusumi Koharu who is 16 and Yamada Ryosuke who is 15. I seriously think they are too young to be added to the list. I was creeped out last year when Yajima Maimi made it on the list.

I'm really thrilled that 3 Morning Musume members are in the top ten. And I'm amazed my girl Koharu made it in the top 10! And Ryo is the top ten and moved up 5 places from last year. Which is amazing.

But a lot of these members fell significantly. Ai Otsuka who was 2nd or 3rd last year dropped all the way down to 12th place. And MatsuJun moved from 3rd place to 7th.

For the most part I agree with the results. The only thing I would change is switch Ayumi Hamasaki for Ai Otsuka and switch Kame with Yamapi. Anyway, the guys section is relatively the same, with the overdose of Johnny's members. Jin and Kame from KAT-TUN managed to stay in their same exact positions from last year.

2009 predictions

So now that it's officially 2009, I thought I'd start off the new year with predictions of what I think might happen in the upcoming months.

Hello Project:

Morning Musume-
1. They will release their 9th (technically 10th but I'm not counting Cover You) studio album, which isn't much of a prediction. XD
2. They will add new members either from auditions in Japan or from those Korean auditions that happened a few months back.
3. They will get a number 1 single.

C-ute-
1. Kanna will continue to get noticed and will have another solo magazine shoot.
2. They will branch out more into Asia like Berryz did.

Berryz Koubou-
1. Yurina will continue to get lead solo lines. (ok that's more of what I want to see)

Elder Club:
The official announcement in March will be nothing special.


Johnny's Entertainment:

NEWS-
1. They will have a cool or rock sounding single, like KAT-TUNs'
2. They will expand more into the global market/have more overseas tours


Kanjani8-
1. Uchi will rejoin the group



Jpop:

1. Nami Tamaki will finally release a new single with Sony.
2. Puffy AmiYumi will tour America again.
3. BoA will just stick to dominating over Asia
4. Ai Otsuka will release a love song. Shocking! But I think it will happen. :P
5. Koda Kumi will release another fully English single.



Jrock:

1. Miyavi will completely change his music style, yet again.
2. SuG's single will continue to dramatically change and continue not to really impress me much.
3. Gazette will release a single like their old material (Unlikely, but they really should)
4. Dir en grey will have another headlining tour in America. I like that's planned already, possibly.
5. An Cafe will finally have a major debut. (Very unlikely, but would still be cool)
6. Aicle will release a full length album.
7. The Candy Spooky Theater will get another new guitarist. Seriously, they are already on their 3rd.




Let's see how many of these actually come true. :]
