2nd interview of S/mileage's auditions to be streamed live!

It was announced that the second intreview for S/mileage's 2nd generation will be streamed live on Nico Nico Douga. The stream will start at 1 PM JST. Click here for the Nico Nico Douga stream page.

The Nico Nico Douga page says the following about the stream:

2000 girls participated the selection
50 girls passed the first interview.
They will stream all the process of the second interview .
It will be from the interviewer angle  - the second interview will consist of: introduction, singing, forehead and dental check, dancing, etc.Also some notice:
Respect their privacy.
No S/mileage girls will appear.
They may change the background music.


I think it is incredibly exciting that they are going to stream the audtion process live. I mean, it's the 2nd best thing to being there. This is the closest us fans have ever gotten to the audition. Usually we have to wait  to see clips, or the entire show, weeks after it happened. But seeing it while it happens, and being able to pick your favorite girl while it's happening, is is an incredible hands on experience for the fans. It's things like this that make me excited to be a fan.

Mnet and H!P audition episode 1!

Mnet and H!P's joint audition premiered a few days ago. And I'm not even 100% sure what the name is. I've heard it called Tokyo Girls, Dream Girls, and DaeDong Kyung Youths.
But anyway, I bring you my review of the first episode. I can't understand Korean or Japanese at all, so bear with me. XD


I knew I was going to like this audition when

I saw cute girls in Lolita dresses.

Korean wotas didn't miss a chance to see Momusu.

They looked really cute even though they are wrapped

up in blankets.

An Ai fangirl gets too close. Someone literally is pushing

her away.

Morning Musume looking cute in their Shouganai Yume

Oibito outfits.

That guy from 2PM looks way too thrilled to be talking

to Momusu.

I have no idea what they are saying, but they all seem to laugh

when LinLin metion Yakiniku.

I'm not even going to pretend I know what's going on.

But I'm guessing it's acting class or something.

2PM leaves for no apparent reason.

And then are mysteriously back.

I wish I knew why the girls look so sad. XD

And it's over already. XD

Next week they sing C-ute's Sakura Chirari!

And there's also lots of crying next week.

The only thing I can say about this audition is, lucky Koreans who can understand this. I'm not going to do what I did last year with the Taiwan auditions. Stop watching them half way through because I can't understand Chinese. I can't understand Japanese either, but at least I would kinda know what they were saying and doing.
As for the girls themselves, I'm not really impressed by them. Only 2 or 3 girls can actually sing. I wouldn't be too upset if this was like Lucky 7 all over again. But that's highly unlikely to happen.

H!P lands at South Korea

Tsunku, Maimi, and Saki arrived in Korea to kick off the Korean auditions. They held a press conference to officially announce the auditions. And it seems like Maimi and Saki are wearing their recent concert outfits for most of the photos.

Koreans seem to be really excited for the audition. They even welcomed their arrival at the airport.  

I'm really excited to see how these auditions turn out. I'll probably follow these a lot closer than the Taiwn auditions. Mainly because I'm more interested in Kpop than Cpop.

Korean H!P audition

Now I remember a while ago hearing about a Korean Morning Musume audition. And when nothing happened with it I just assumed it was a rumor. But this seems to actually be happening. The Korea Times and a handful of other websites confirm a Korean H!P audition. So the member or members are being added to just H!P, so it looks like there's going to be another Ice Creamusume.
The audition process will be by both H!P and M-Net Entertainment. They will also start recruiting members in March and will broadcast the auditions sometime in April. Yajima Maimi and Shimizu Saki are going to March 9th to announce the auditions officially to Korean fans.

I'm happy for them expanding into Asia more. Korea is really a good place to pick next, since girl groups like Wonder Girls and SNSD are popular right now. I'm also really excited to see what the group turns out to be like. Ice Creamusume turned out surprisingly well. I'd also like to see them change up the group a lot, so it's not so similar to Ice Creamusume. I'd honestly be happy if it was similar to SNSD.

This news is good and all, but I'd rather see a 9th generation Morning Musume audition instead. I love the current line up of Momusu, but they've been that way too long. This is the longest Momusu has stayed the same in the history of the group. I'm ready for a change to spice things up a bit. They need to get new members in soon, to keep the current line up around a little longer. Then once the 9th gen is established have a graduation in a year or so. But I guess we have to wait a littler longer for that.

New Stars found

 The winners of H!P's Taiwan Egg audition "New Star" winners were announced. I guess I should be excited about this but I'm not really. Mostly because I didn't watch the auditions. I gave up on them after the second episode. The videos took way too long to load. And I can't understand what's being said which is why I never watch the Japanese auditions either.

I am also not impressed with the members picked. From a first glance view. Only half of the members are pretty. But I don't really care either way. I don't pay much attention to the eggs, which I really should.

I'm still happy for them though. I personally would sell my own leg to be a H!P member. But I don't see an America audition happening ever.
