Party Time preview

The new Shugo Chara opening gives us a song and PV preview of Guardians 4's 3rd single, Party Time. Which is being released on November 18th.

I actually really love the song. It's the most anime sounding out of any of the Shugo Chara themes. It's really happy sounding, but I could still see Buono doing this song. Maybe not as a sinlge, but an album song at least. I think this is probably my favorite Guardians 4 single yet. It's really fun and light sounding. All the other songs seem bland compared to this one. Especially School Days. The only time I actually wanted to hear a Shugo Chara Eggs version, they give them their own song, Watashi no Tamago.

I was expecting more of a PV preview, they just sow a few stills from the video. I was hoping for something like Kirarin Revolution where the video is playing along the anime version of it. But I guess it's better than nothing. The video does look really fun. It has a birthday themed, so that means there's going to be a lot going on it in. Which I prefer in a PV. I'm really looking forward to the bubble and confetti scenes, they most likely be the cutest.
I also love the outfits. I think green plaid is easily the best one yet. And since they've done all the colors we can expect their next single's outfit to be yellow. I'm not really looking forward to that though. I hate yellow.

Cheer on with Guardians 4!

Guardians 4's Omakase! Guardian PVE was released recently. And after seeing the covers the PV is everything I hoped it wouldn't be.

The video is completely cheap looking. The entire time they are either dancing in front of or sitting on stadium seats. There's also a good minute worth of clips from the anime scattered throughout the PV. Which I don't particularly care about. I understand they are doing the theme to the anime, but Buono never had clips from the anime in their PVs. That makes it pretty obvious Guardians 4 isn't going to be around for that long.
There are some positive points the this PV though. For one every one looks super cute in the close ups. I really loved the dance too. Even though it was obnoxiously simple, it was cute and it looked like they were having fun doing it. I also love all the cute things they do throughout the PV, like cheer and hold up the signs. Especially Aika hitting the drum, that was just amazing.
I think the whole video was just a win for Aika. She dominated the cuteness in this video, she was also the most interesting to watch. And of course Yurina was a close second.

Buono- My Boy preview

Shugo Chara's theme changing also brings us a preview of Buono's 7th single, My Boy.

I absolutely love this song! The music is just awesome. It's got the rocker music we're used to hearing in Buono songs. But this time it's a little heavier than usual, and I love it for that. The chorus is really catchy and addictive. I end up liking this song 50 times more than the Guardians4 songs. Maybe it's Buono bias or just the fact that this song rocks. This is one of their best songs to date. Easily better than Rotta Rotta.

Guardians4 preview

New H!P unit Guradians4's debut single, Omakase! Guardian, is being released on May 27th. A preview of the song is available courtesy of Shugo Chara's opening.

I'm really happy too see the line distribution is identical to Shugo Chara Eggs'. And as expected Yurina sounds amazing! And Saki doesn't completely annoy me in this song like I thought she would. All and all the think the song sounds ok. It's not horrible but it didn't blow me away either. For now it's just resting on good. Maybe the song will grow on me but for now it's just ok to me. Everyone sounds great in it though. Especially Yurina and Risako. I can't wait for the PV now. Maybe it will make me like the song a little more.

New H!P unit Guardians 4

Starting April 4th there will be a new group to promote Shugo Chara called Guardians 4. This group will consist of Morning Musume member Mitsui Aika, C-ute member Nakajima Saki, and Berryz Koubou members Kumai Yurina and Sugaya Risako. Their first single, Omakase! Guardian, will come out on May 27th and will be the new opening theme to Shugo Chara.

This is seriously amazing news. Yurina is finally in a subgroup! And it's about time. Yurnia is my favorite Berryz member. And she's more talented then she gets credit for. And Mittsi in another group is amazing. Gotta love all the Aika love that's going on lately. I'm not to thrilled about the second half though. Saki is one of my least favorite C-ute members and even though Risako can really sing, I think she already gets enough attention. The same thing happened with Athena & Robikerottsu. I listned to them for Aika and Risa.
Another thing that's going to be interesting about this group is who is going to be the leader and main singer. I really don't want to see an overdose of Risako or even her as the main singer. Her being in the group alone is enough. I'm actually hoping Aika takes lead vocals. Since she's growing in popularity and singing opportunities. It doesn't really matter who gets the main vocals though since Shugo Chara groups have really fair line distribution. And every one pretty much gets equal screen time.
As for leader they will probably go the Buono and High King route. Where they don't have an official leader and one of the member names themselves as the unofficial leader. But if there is a leader it should definitely be Yurina.

The whole con of this group is Shuo Chara Eggs possibly disappearing. Which makes the whole Guardians 4 group bittersweet. I gain Aika and Yurina in a group but lose Yuuka and Kanon in one. Which is kind of terrible. Since Yuuka and Kanon are Eggs there's a possibility we'll never see from them again. I hope that doesn't happen. Yuuka and Kanon deserve to be in an official group anyway.

Shugo Shugo preview

Shugo Chara Egg's 2nd single Shugo Shugo, is going to be very soon. So we have a preview of the new song. So on some I know this news is a little late. But bear with me, I was having some sound issues on my computer.

The sound isn't the best because it's audio from Buono's 2nd concert. And at some points you can hear the wota's yells clearer than the song. But this song seems fun.

Shugo Chara Egg 2nd single preview

Shugo Chara Egg's second single, Shugo! Shugo! will be released mid February. A preview of the song popped up a few days ago. Since it's the new opening for Shugo Chara starting with episode 65. The song sounds really cute, even cuter than the first single. I can't wait to hear the full song. And the PV of course. I know my girl Kanon will look adorable.

But until then here's the preview. It even has English subs.

Everyone's Egg!

Shugo Chara Egg's debut single Minna no Tamago is being released December 10, or today. And the PV has been out for a few days now. I'm late on reviewing again. But at least it's not by that much.

The video is extremely colorful. Lots of floating colofulness. I love how this Shugo Chara group is actually focusing on the anime. With the matching costumes and clips of the anime. But the dance is way too simple. I though Buono had the simplest dances in H!P but this tops it. Yeah the dance is cute, but it's just too simple for my taste. All the seem to be doing is walking.
Even though there is a lot going on in the video, it almost seems like it's too much. And I really don't care for the video.

Even though this a H!P Egg group I expected this song to be a little more mature because of Buono's songs. Buono's songs are childish but still kinda mature. For what the song is it's good, people who expected more of this song should remember it's just for Shugo Chara. But I like the song. It's cutesy and is catchy. I've been listening to it on a loop. Though I've already heard this song a lot because of the fan recording that was out a few months ago. And everyone's voice is incredibly cutesy, except for Saho Akari. Her voice is the most mature of the bunch. Wada Ayaka's voice is a mix of cute and mature. This song really does seem to be a continuation of Kokoro no Tamago. It was even written by the same person. But instead of hop, step, jump, it's pyon pyon fumu fumu. And other lyrics of the song are very similar. The lovely people at projecthello.com translated the lyrics if you want to see for yourself.

Surprisingly this song reached 5th on the oricon. Which means we'll probably be seeing a lot more of the Shugo Chara Eggs. And maybe if they become popular enough they will be able to branch away from Shugo Chara like Buono did. And I also expected by the time the single came out they would have some sort of official name. As for now they are just Shugo Chara Egg which seems silly to me.

I was always overly excited for this group because Maeda Yuki was in it. I feel in love with her voice in High King. But Kanon is defiantly my favorite. I even think her voice is the cutest in this whole song. It must be because she looks a little bit like Aibon. I think I'm already Kanon biased.

Shugo Chara

With almost no news about the new Shugo Chara group in two months, we finally have the PV preview. I honestly forgot all about the group until about two days ago. I also forgot how adorable Minna no Tamago is. The PV is as infectious as the song. With lots of flying hearts, diamonds, clovers, and spades oh my. It's very colorful and very cutesy. I kinda would like to see more colors then green, blue, yellow, and pink over and over. But there's no helping that. If any of my preview posts mean anything the PV should be ok in a week or two if not a few days. ._.

New Shugo Chara group

The new Shugo Chara group was finally revealed! It consists of 4 Egg's Saho Akari, Wada Ayaka, Maeda Yuuka, and Fukuda Kanon. All I can say is I am so excited for this! Buono!'s songs were good so this new group should be just as good. And Maeda Yuuka is in it! She has one of the cutest most adorable voices in all of H!P. The member's all look so cute. Especially Kanon who is a mystery to me as I don't know of the Egg's, unless they are put into a group. But it looks like Fukuda Kanon might become my favorite member of this group. I can't resist her cuteness all ready!

Their first single is going to be Minna no Tamago, which translates as eveyone's egg. Is Shugo Chara about eggs or something? I mean Minna no Tamago and Kokoro no Tamago. And the outfits are amazing! They are a perfect 10! They are just so fun and adorable. Especially Kanon's!

This group seems more fitting for Shugo Chara then Buono! does. Just by listening to the preview for the song and seeing the outfits, you can tell it's for the anime. Buono! songs you could never really tell it was for an anime. But at least Buono! gets to move away from Shugo Chara and become an offical group, which is exciting. I hope the quality of their next single doesn't change because it's no longer for anime anymore.
