Watarirouka Hashiritai7-Hetappi Wink PV preview

A morning show has featured a PV preview for Watarirouka Hashiritai's upcoming single Hetappi Wink. Some of this clip is filled with Watarirouka Hashiritai7 talking, and all some random making of the PV footage. So, that brings the PV preview down to about 30 seconds. Which is actually perfect. Because like I've said before, anything more than that and it ruins the surprise.

Now since I wasn't really too impressed with the song, I was half expected to be just as underwhelmed with the PV. Luckily, I actually really like the PV. It is a little bit only cheap and simple side, but it's absolutely adorable. But this is Watarirouka Hashiritai7. They could be just standing there the entire PV, and I would still think it was adorable.
The main theme of this PV is behind the scenes of making a commercial. I'm not really impressed with behind the scenes PVs since they are a dime a dozen. Kitahara Sayaka's Yappa Seishun PV just had a similar kind of PV. However, the way that they are doing the behind the scenes theme is this PV makes it interesting. And it really does work for this PV. It seems that Mayu has to wink for some product that she's selling. But she just doesn't seem to know how to wink. So, most of the PV so far shows Mayu trying to learn how to wink. No doubt at the very end of the full length PV she'll wink for the first time. It's pretty cute since the song is about winking to focus on that. But I'm not sure there are too many people in the world who can't wink. But I do remember my friend's British grandmother telling me it was impolite to wink in England. So, she literally couldn't/didn't know how to. I guess it is possible then. XD
The PV is cute but I think  the dance scenes ruin it a bit. Not because the dance is simple, because it is. But Watarirouka Hashiritai always has really simple dances. The dance set itself is what makes this PV look so cheap. The set itself is cute. A checked floor with a very Italian looking garden. With very pretty climbing roses. Which is fine and dandy looking, but only close up. When the camera zooms out and pans the entire dance set, you can see just how cheap the set is. It's just obviously fake looking. Like you can make out where the top of the set ends. However, since the PV has a behind the scenes theme they might have actually been going for that kind of look. But I think it's still pretty lazy on their part.

Ok, I seriosuly had to look that up because I has no idea what you were talking about. XD

Maybe she was. Or maybe it was impolite back in the day in England? She came to America right after World War 2, so who knows. Apparently I don't. XD
