Itano Tomomi-Fui Ni preview

The radio rip for Itano Tomomi's upcoming 2nd solo single, Fui Ni, has just been released.

Fui Ni sounds a lot like Tomomi's first solo single Dear J, it also has very heavy trance/electronic music. And it's also auto tuned. I love the direction they are going with Itano Tomomi. I love music that sounds like this. Mostly because American music is pretty much nothing but auto tuned dance tracks. But I absolutely love it. But I'm actually pretty convinced that they choose this type of music for her because it covers her less than perfect singing.
This song is alos little bit different than Dear J. Dear J was pretty much a dance song from start to finish. But in Fui Ni it has a heavy dance track in the beginning, and then the music and singing gets toned down during the verse. But only the tinest bit because it sounds like her voice is still autotuned. And then the chorus hits. The music picks up which is a plus. But I have to admit the singing is pretty rough. When that chorus hit I was not expecting it to sound like that at all. I do like the song, but it's only ok to me. It sounds like they took a soft sounding idol song, and then the dance music was an after thought. The singing and the dance music do not mix at all. And it makes the overall song sound pretty awkward. I was hoping for another infectious dance track like Dear J. And instead I think this song falls flat. Pretty much the only thing I like about this song is the music. I do love this kind of direction for her, I just wish it was executed better.
